Fairtrade Chocolate That Empowers Farmers and Delights Consumers
At Divine Chocolate, we believe that chocolate should not only taste good but also do good. That’s why every Divine bar is made with 100% Fairtrade chocolate, crafted to create a better world for cocoa farmers and chocolate lovers alike. Our mission goes beyond ethical sourcing; Divine is the only chocolate company that is co-owned by the farmers who grow the cocoa. That means real empowerment, shared value, and a truly fair supply chain.
A Revolutionary Business Model: Farmer-Owned and Fair
Since launching in 1998, Divine has proudly led the way in doing business differently. We were the first ever Fairtrade chocolate company co-owned by farmers, giving 44% of our shares to a co-operative of Ghanaian cocoa farmers. This model ensures that farmers have a direct stake in the business, receive a share of the profits, and help shape the future of chocolate production.
By embedding fairness at the heart of everything we do, Divine shows that Fairtrade chocolate can transform entire communities, supporting economic independence, gender equality, and improved standards of living.
100% Fairtrade Ingredients, 100% Delicious
All Divine chocolate bars are made using Fairtrade-certified cocoa, sugar, and vanilla. But we don’t stop there. We go above and beyond to source ingredients like almonds from Pakistan, mangos from Burkina Faso, and coconuts from Sri Lanka, all through Fairtrade supply chains wherever possible.
What Fairtrade Chocolate Really Means
Choosing Fairtrade chocolate is about choosing fairness. It ensures that cocoa farmers receive a guaranteed minimum price, plus a Fairtrade Premium, an additional amount used to invest in community development, education, healthcare, and infrastructure.
