Happy April Fools’ Day from everyone at Divine Chocolate.

While we’d love to believe that whispering affirmations to cocoa pods could magically infuse chocolate with positivity, the truth is that The Good Vibes Bar was our playful April Fools idea. Sadly, our farmers aren’t standing in cocoa groves telling pods they are “strong, confident and destined for greatness” (although we do like to think they’d appreciate the encouragement).

But while the affirmation-infused chocolate may be fictional, there are some very real reasons why chocolate - especially dark chocolate - can give you a genuine boost.

Dark chocolate really can lift your mood
Research suggests that dark chocolate may support mood and wellbeing, thanks to naturally occurring compounds called flavanols found in cocoa. These compounds have been linked to improved blood flow to the brain and may support cognitive function and mood.
